The Battery

Charge the Battery first:
Remove the Viewfinder by pulling down the Viewfinder release button and pulling the Viewfinder straight out.

-Insert the battery into its slot.
-Plug the included USB cable into the micro USB port. 
-To access the USB port, pull out the rubber flap under the Settings dial. 
Charge via a powered-on laptop or desktop PC.
It takes about two hours to fully charge the battery and the camera needs to be turned OFF to charge. A green light will flash on the camera and turn off when complete.
A fully charged battery is generally good for about two hours of continuous video recording.
